Asalamu Alikum; Dear brothers i am searching for a great persian poem by Alama Sahib, i can't recall the first Mesra but the second line says something like this: (Gar Banda Ehtiyaj Nabashad Khuda Bashad). Could you guys please help me out?
ReplyDeleteRegards
Brother,
ReplyDeleteWe will try to search that verse/poem from 7 Persian books of Iqbal & update here.
Plz give us few days.
Thanks Brother
ReplyDeleteI am still waiting for my answer!, any one got it?
ReplyDeleteBrother,
ReplyDeleteWe have searched all 10 poetry books of Allama Iqbal but couldn't find this couplet(Gar Banda Ehtiyaj Nabashad Khuda Bashad) or similar.
There are 3 possibilities now
1) This verse might be some one else like Hafiz Shirazi, Saadi, Ghalib or Rumi RA.
2) There were many rejected poems by Allama Iqbal (Which he rejected himself and wrote new ones with some amendments). This verse may be from these.
3) We missed this verse while searching...:(
Plz confirm again 'Are you sure its Allama Iqbal's Verse/Shair?'
Waiting for your reply. You can contact at iqbalurdublog@gmail.com

ReplyDelete"Zindagee" (Life)
ReplyDeleteExcellent effort and much needed at this time.
ReplyDeleteI love Iqbal.
As he says;
Afsos dar afsos k shaheen na bana tu
Dekhe na teri ankh ne fitrat k isharaat
Taqdeer k qazi ka ye fatwa ha azal se
Ha jurm e zaifi ki saza marg e mufajaat.
This verse makes me speechless and thoughtless
Hard copies of Iqbal are available at www.pakistanonlineshop.net with free shipping nationwide, at very nominal prices wuth built in urdu dictionary, easy to understand Iqbal
ReplyDeleteQuestion? Is the verse below is of Iqbal? if yes which book or please also look if it is translated.

good poetry by Allama Iqbals..................
DeleteGood good poetry...............who wrote them?
Delete@Admin:
ReplyDeletewhat about this one:
royen woh jo munkir hain shahadat e Hussain (ALaye hi salam) k
ham zinda o javed ka maatam nahi kertay
this verse through sms creates confusion every year.please confirm its authenticity.
@Admin:
ReplyDeleteiss misra k baray mein bhi wazahat ker daen:
hai tabiyat mein iss ki tashayyu (shi'ism) bhi zara sa
@Hussain
ReplyDelete1) First Shair "royen woh..."
This is not Allama Iqbal's couplet. Its wrongly attributed to Allama Iqbal. We also received same SMS and replied to many that its not Allama Iqbal.
2) "hai tabiyyat mein iss ki"
Yes, Its Allama Iqbal's Verse but if you see it out of context, It gives totally different meaning.
Please read poem '(Bang-e-Dra-028) (زہد اور رندی) Zuhd Aur Rindi' at

Kalam-e-Iqbal is most valuable thing for future of Pakistan and Its my gift for Pakistani Nation.
As Allama Iqbal said,
Asar Kare Na Kare, Sun To Le Meri Faryad
Nahin Hai Daad Ka Talib Ye Banda’ay Azad

ReplyDeleteI am looking for Allama Iqbal's famour persian couplet here but cannot find it. can someoneplease point me to the page. here is the couplet i am looking for :
"Tu ghani az har do a'alam mann faqeer
Roz-e-mahshar 'uzrahai-e-man pazeer
Gartumi beeni hisabam naguzeer
Az nigah-e-Mustafa pinha bageer (sallallahu alaihi WA sallam)"

DeleteYes these couplets belongs to Allama Iqbal, but Iqbal gifted these couplets to his fan/follower at his desire. So these couplets are not included in Kalam-e-Iqbal now. Allama Iqbal wrote new couplets in place of these which are included in Kalam-e-Iqbal.
Complete event of gifting these couplets to his fan is mentioned in Book 'Zinda Rood' by his son Javed Iqbal. thanks

ReplyDeleteKhudai Intezaam e Khush-o-Ter Hai
Khudaya! Khudai Dard-e-Ser Hai
Wa-laikin Bundagi Astagh-Firullah
Ye Dard-e-Ser Nahi, Dard-e-Jiger Hai
My elaboration is not the final verdict on this, however, I would still think about the same. What i know is that we have come into this very world is to take care of each other "this is what Islam is! This is what the service that God has asked us for him. Otherwise what services does God Need from Humans (Allah-o-Samad) he doesn’t need anything!
In deserts and in mountains life is very difficult even these days but Man lives there does everything for the survival of his family and others.
This is what our natural obligation is but perhaps we have forgotten it altogether. We have opted for a job of Managing things which is not our job actually. Khudai Intezaam e khush o ter hai. This is what the management is and only God can do it not us!!!
We have left the way of naturally thinking rather we have started thinking in an unnatural manner perhaps we have been indoctrinated to think like that.
We have been shown through media and live examples of so called financially successful wanna be! And thus in the name of circumstances so warrant we have been following unnatural agenda for life. Specific Areas to live i.e. Defense, Cantonment etc, “o” Levels etc, This brand that brand and you know never ending list of life style ideas “This is not natural” that’s what Iqbal is trying to bring it to our attention that this idea is learned behavior not natural, because if you want to see what natural behavior is just go and see how the life is there in Desert and Mountains!
This is what my way of think about Iqbal’s poetry and so far it is working very good.
Ellaj aatish e romi ka soz mai hai tera
teri khirad pe hai ghalib farungion ka fasoon
Hayat kiya hai? Khayal-o-nazar ki majzoobi
Mr Malik Mehmood!
DeleteI admire your ideas. Lately similar thoughts have been entering my mind. It's like suddenly my mind is realizing why actually are we doing what we r doing. who came up with these standards in the first place. and why are we spending all our energies to run after these things. has the modern world planned to consume us in these "unnatural agendas" so we will deter from our actual cause? what really bothers me is that how to find a balance between actual agendas and unnatural agendas.... now that we are really trapped in this system, we cannot let it go 100 percent. where is the line?
